The Luthier
Sam utilizes his talents as a musician, together with his training as a visual artist and his clinical education and practice as a music therapist to hand craft custom-built acoustics. Each custom designed acoustic guitar is created to harness the true tonal complexities sought by its musician while using the most visually stunning tonal woods on the planet.
The Process

Sam believes that an artist’s individualized tone is critical to the establishment of the artist’s signature sound. This simple philosophy inspires the Tirone Guitar Company
to collaboratively work with artists to cultivate their very own original artistic
tonal signature. An artist’s
“tonal signature” must be explored and developed during the instrument’s construction, as tonal uniqueness can never be achieved by plugging into an amp or guitar used by many other artists.
By hand carving every neck, Sam ensures that every instrument’s playability is individualized to the artist’s hand specifications.

The Wood

East Indian Rosewood
Choosing the proper tone wood is critical to the development of the artist’s tonal signature. Wood is selected to not only maximize the desired tonal resonance of the artist but also will contribute to the overall originality of the instrument. The Tirone Guitar Company sources all of its tonal woods from around the globe.
